Whitworth University Chooses MentorPRO For The BELIEF Mentoring Program
MentorPRO today announced a partnership with Whitworth University to power the BELIEF Mentoring Program, run through the university’s Dornsife Center for Community Engagement. The program connects Whitworth with local K-12 school partners across Spokane, and the partnership moves BELIEF from paper-based processes to MentorPRO’s mobile-first, evidence-based platform, paired with full access to MentorPRO Academy training.
“The Dornsife Center has built something special in Spokane, pairing university resources with the schools and families who can benefit most. Meredith Devey and her team have been thoughtful about every step of this transition, and we are excited to give BELIEF mentors the structure and preparation they deserve,” said Jean Rhodes, PhD, Co-founder of MentorPRO and Director of the Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring at UMass Boston.
With MentorPRO, BELIEF program staff gain real-time visibility into match engagement and relationship health, while mentors complete research-backed training through MentorPRO Academy. The rollout begins with onboarding in June 2026 and launches with the new school year, including a parent information night designed with K-12 partners so families can get to know the app. The implementation passed a full security review, and Whitworth retains complete ownership of its program data, a priority for its school partners.
The partnership builds on peer-reviewed research linking structured, technology-supported mentoring with stronger academic outcomes, sense of belonging, and well-being for K-12 students.
