UMass Dartmouth Partners with MentorPRO
Led by the Office of the Associate Provost for Student Success, the initiative includes the full MentorPRO platform, MatchPRO advanced matching, and complete access to MentorPRO Academy.
“UMass Dartmouth is taking student success seriously at the institutional level, and Sarah Cosgrove and her team have been deliberate about building a mentoring infrastructure that can last. As a UMass-grown platform, we are especially proud to deepen our work across the UMass system,” said Jean Rhodes, PhD, Co-founder of MentorPRO and Director of the Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring at UMass Boston.
Through MatchPRO, UMass Dartmouth will translate its intake process into a structured matching workflow, while MentorPRO supports each relationship with goal tracking, check-ins, and real-time staff visibility. Mentors and program staff will prepare with self-paced MentorPRO Academy courses grounded in decades of mentoring research. Setup begins in July 2026, with the program launching ahead of the fall semester.
The partnership builds on peer-reviewed research showing that technology-enhanced structured mentoring has been linked to college student academic performance, sense of university belonging, and student wellbeing (Werntz et al., 2026)
