Saint Louis University’s School of Science and Engineering Partners with MentorPRO
MentorPRO today announced a partnership with Saint Louis University’s School of Science and Engineering to power two mentoring programs: First Year Experience peer mentoring for incoming students and an alumni-to-current-student mentoring program. The partnership brings MentorPRO and MatchPRO to a student success operation that had previously managed matching by hand.
“Amy Preis and the SLU team have built mentoring into the fabric of how science and engineering students find their footing, from the first semester through the transition into careers. We are excited to give that work the structure, matching power, and visibility it deserves,” said Jean Rhodes, PhD, Co-founder of MentorPRO.
Through MatchPRO, SLU is converting its prior matching survey into a structured workflow that surfaces strong pairings between first-year students, peer mentors, and alumni. MentorPRO then supports each relationship with goal tracking, check-ins, and real-time program visibility, with single sign-on integration for a seamless campus experience. Onboarding began in late May 2026, with mentor recruitment underway ahead of the fall semester.
The collaboration builds on peer-reviewed research linking structured mentoring with stronger academic persistence, belonging, and career outcomes in STEM fields.
