MentorPRO Partners with University of Chicago EDE+ Program to Launch Flash Mentoring Initiative
Chicago, IL — May 12, 2026 — MentorPRO, the only evidence-based mentoring platform, today announced a partnership with the University of Chicago’s Education, Diversity, and Equity Plus (EDE+) program to launch a new mentoring initiative incorporating flash mentoring. The program will leverage MentorPRO to support both traditional and short-form mentoring interactions, providing flexible, high-impact engagement opportunities for students.
“The EDE+ team is working to create inclusive pathways into education careers, and we are genuinely excited to help them experiment with flash mentoring as a strategy for building social capital,” said Ania Sanchez, COO of MentorPRO. “Their focus on access aligns deeply with MentorPRO’s mission, and we are honored to support a model that lets more students connect quickly with professionals who can open doors and offer timely guidance.”
Flash mentoring enables focused, time-bound conversations that lower barriers to participation while maintaining structure and intention. Through MentorPRO, program staff can manage scheduling, track engagement, and monitor outcomes across participants. This approach allows the EDE+ program to expand access to mentoring while maintaining quality and consistency across interactions. The initiative builds on published research on flash mentoring and single-session interventions, as well as MentorPRO’s own peer-reviewed studies, which show that structured, technology-supported mentoring can boost students’ sense of belonging, academic confidence, and mental health indicators, even when interactions are brief but well designed.
