MentorPRO Partners with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County to Launch Grant-Funded Workplace Mentoring Initiative

Santa Ana, CA — April, 2026 — MentorPRO, a leading evidence-based mentoring platform, is proud to announce its partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County (BBBS OC) to support a year-long, grant-funded workplace mentoring initiative made possible through the American Institute for Boys and Men. The program connects high school and college students ages 16–26 with professional mentors in a structured, curriculum-driven model designed to build career readiness, professional skills, and lasting workplace connections.

BBBS OC’s workplace mentoring program brings together students from a diverse network of higher education institutions across Orange County — including Cal State Fullerton and six community colleges — with mentors from corporate partner organizations. With 204 student participants and a demographic that is predominantly Hispanic and Asian, the program serves the real workforce development needs of one of California’s most diverse regions. Monthly sessions take place on-site at partner offices or virtually, covering six structured modules: building relationships, personal branding, career exploration, job searching, succeeding in the workplace, and a culminating celebration and recap.

MentorPRO’s platform provides the infrastructure to run this program at scale, from intelligent mentor-mentee matching and virtual meeting scheduling to automated check-ins and real-time progress tracking. Program staff can monitor engagement across the full cohort, while mentors and students benefit from structured conversation prompts, goal-setting tools, and a mobile app that keeps the relationship active between monthly sessions. MentorAI, MentorPRO’s AI co-pilot for mentors, will also be explored to deepen the quality and consistency of mentoring conversations throughout the program.

“Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County is doing exactly what the research calls for: structured curriculum, consistent contact, and a focus on real-world skills for students who stand to benefit most,” says Dr. Jean Rhodes, MentorPRO Co-founder. “MentorPRO is proud to support a program that reflects both the science of effective mentoring and a genuine commitment to the communities it serves.”

This partnership builds on MentorPRO’s strong track record within the broader Big Brothers Big Sisters network, where six affiliated organizations have collectively generated over 26,000 messages and 4,000 completed check-ins in the past year alone. BBBS OC joins a growing national community of BBBS affiliates using MentorPRO to deliver structured, measurable, and deeply human mentoring experiences.
