MentorPRO Named Finalist in 2025 Tools Competition’s Enhancing Post-Secondary Learning Track

MentorPRO is honored to announce its selection as a finalist in the Enhancing Post-Secondary Learning track of the 2025 Tools Competition, organized by Renaissance Philanthropy. This recognition underscores our commitment to advancing student support services through innovative peer mentoring solutions.

The Tools Competition, now in its fifth year, received over 1,000 submissions targeting pressing issues across the educational spectrum. In the Enhancing Post-Secondary Learning track alone, 290 teams proposed tools aimed at improving learning outcomes and experiences for post-secondary learners, with a focus on addressing barriers to social and career mobility, particularly for underserved populations.

MentorPRO’s platform is designed to bridge gaps in learner support services by scaling effective peer mentoring. Our approach integrates evidence-based training, goal-focused applications, relationship management, and expert consultation to foster meaningful mentor-mentee relationships. This comprehensive framework has been associated with significantly higher GPA, well-being, and sense of belonging among students.

As a finalist, MentorPRO will participate in the final phase of the competition, presenting our tool to a panel of judges who will select the winners to be announced in the summer of 2025. This opportunity aligns with our mission to expand access to quality post-secondary learning and broaden connections to career success.
