MentorPRO Partners with Commonwealth Youth ChalleNGe Academy to Support Cadet Mentoring in Virginia

Richmond, VA — April 22, 2026 — MentorPRO, an evidence-based mentoring platform, today announced a partnership with the Commonwealth Youth ChalleNGe Academy, Virginia’s National Guard Youth ChalleNGe program supporting young people seeking a renewed path toward educational and career success. The Academy has implemented MentorPRO to strengthen its post-residential mentoring phase, equipping cadets, mentors, and staff with tools to build consistent, high-impact relationships.

“Our team is incredibly excited to partner with the Commonwealth Youth ChalleNGe Academy, which has such a strong track record of helping young people reconnect with their education, communities, and future goals,” said Nancy McNamara, CEO of MentorPRO. “Their commitment to structured and caring relationships is exactly what MentorPRO is built to support, and we look forward to helping their mentors and staff keep every cadet connected, seen, and supported long after graduation.”

Following an intensive residential experience that blends academics, physical training, and life skills, cadets transition into a mentoring phase where sustained support is critical. MentorPRO enhances this phase by providing structured engagement tools, goal tracking, and real-time visibility into relationship progress. Program staff can monitor mentoring health across cohorts, while mentors are guided with prompts and resources that support more meaningful interactions. Cadets benefit from an accessible platform that allows them to set, revisit, and track personal goals over time. The partnership builds on MentorPRO’s research base demonstrating that technology-supported mentoring can improve grades, increase students’ sense of belonging on campus, and support better mental health outcomes.
