MentorPRO Announces Partnership with Beloved Arise to Support Educational Success for Queer Youth of Faith
August 7, 2025
Boston, MA — August 7, 2025 — MentorPRO, an evidence‑based mentoring platform co‑founded by renowned mentoring researcher Dr. Jean Rhodes, is proud to announce a new partnership with Beloved Arise, the first national organization dedicated to celebrating and empowering queer youth of faith. This collaboration reflects MentorPRO’s unwavering commitment to young people’s educational and personal development through rigorously grounded mentoring approaches.
Beloved Arise has emerged as a vital force in pairing queer youth of faith with mentors who share both their spiritual and queer identities. Their Mentorship (BAM) Program provides year‑long, virtually delivered mentorship, guided by extensively trained mentors who are vetted and supported to ensure safe, affirming relationships. Beloved Arise’s focus on supporting young people in integrating their identities—faith and sexuality—in service of educational success and personal growth is central to the decision by MentorPRO to bring their platform into this work.
MentorPRO offers a comprehensive digital platform grounded in decades of peer‑reviewed research pioneered by Dr. Jean Rhodes. As Frank L. Boyden Professor of Psychology at UMass Boston and director of the Center for Evidence‑Based Mentoring, her research and leadership have directly informed MentorPRO’s design. Our platform embeds research‑based features shown to boost mentees’ academic engagement, GPA, and goal attainment, including structured communication tools, data‑informed supervision, and ongoing training through MentorPRO Academy.
In partnership with Beloved Arise, MentorPRO will offer its full suite of tools to support mentor–mentee matching, secure communication, progress tracking, structured check‑ins, and access to MentorPRO Academy, where mentors and program staff receive online training on evidence‑based mentoring best practices. This integration is thoughtfully designed to help young people of faith achieve educational success alongside personal resilience. Programs powered by MentorPRO consistently show high rates of engagement, improved academic outcomes, and measurable impact—making it a perfect match for Beloved Arise’s mission.
We are honored to support Beloved Arise’s work—ensuring that queer youth of faith experience the belonging, encouragement, and guidance they need to thrive both personally and academically. Together, MentorPRO and Beloved Arise are setting a new standard for how identity‑guided mentoring can drive equitable youth success.
