Keystone State ChalleNGe Academy (Pennsylvania) partners with MentorPRO
MentorPRO is partnering with the Keystone State ChalleNGe Academy, Pennsylvania’s National Guard Youth ChalleNGe program, to support structured mentoring for cadets during the post-residential phase of the program.
“Pennsylvania’s ChalleNGe team is deeply committed to the post-residential phase, where young people are most vulnerable and where high-quality mentoring matters most. Kyle Mann and the Keystone team have been thoughtful partners, and we are excited to support cadets with a platform that helps mentors stay close and consistent during this critical transition,” said Jean Rhodes, PhD, Co-founder of MentorPRO.
The Keystone State ChalleNGe Academy combines academic recovery, leadership development, and character formation in a structured residential setting, followed by a year of community-based mentoring. MentorPRO supports that mentoring phase by bringing structure and accountability to each match, surfacing goal progress, and giving staff real-time visibility into engagement and relationship health. Cadets and mentors interact through a mobile-first experience designed to keep momentum going long after the residential program ends. The platform will also help staff identify which supports are most effective for different groups of cadets, informing continuous improvement at the academy level.
This partnership reflects the broader expansion of MentorPRO across the National Guard Youth ChalleNGe community and builds on peer-reviewed research linking structured, technology-supported mentoring with stronger educational, career, and well-being outcomes. Keystone’s implementation will serve as a model for other states seeking to deepen their post-residential supports.
