Today, March 7, 2025, the 2150 Center for Innovation, Commercialization & Growth, in collaboration with Miles College, hosts the Future Forward Summit. This event brings together industry leaders, innovators, and visionaries to shape the future of technology, education, and business. Notably, Dr. Jean Rhodes, a leading figure in mentoring research, Director of the Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring at UMass Boston, and co-founder of MentorPRO, delivered a virtual presentation on best practices in mentoring and innovations on supporting the leaders of tomorrow.
The 2150 Center for Innovation, Commercialization & Growth is a groundbreaking initiative established by Miles College to foster a thriving innovation ecosystem for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Historically Black Community Colleges (HBCCs). Led by Erskine “Chuck” Faush, the center aims to support underrepresented innovators, connect researchers with founders, and drive economic empowerment through collaborative partnerships across public, private, and educational sectors.
Dr. Rhodes’ participation highlights the importance of innovative strategies in mentoring and workforce development. Her decades of research are reflected in the features in MentorPRO, which offers a comprehensive, scientifically-backed mentoring solution. MentorPRO integrates goal-focused apps, data-rich match management tools, and best-in-class mentor training to enhance mentoring programs.
